Members of the business community are invited to attend Washington State University Vancouver?s next Business Growth Alliance forum to learn how to employ the ?Blue Ocean Strategy,? by W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne. The forum will be held 8:30 ? 10 a.m. Jan. 20 at Burgerville?s Center for Responsible Community Leadership, 1602 Main St., Vancouver. Presenter Michael Curry, professor of management information systems in the Carson College of Business, will discuss how businesses can develop unexplored industries and markets, map its competitive advantage, and break the cycle of value and cost trade-offs. The Business Growth MAP Alliance brings together small businesses and entrepreneurs to learn from each other, industry experts and WSU Vancouver faculty. The meeting is open to all.
