Description

The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with our sponsors, are pleased to present the second year of our Women in Leadership Lecture Series. This series of events focuses on female leadership in Clark County and beyond, with the goal of creating a space to cultivate and celebrate the leadership qualities of professional women committed to excellence, collaboration, and tenacity.
Event Overview and Timeline:
On January 29th, we will greet guests to a 3:00 p.m. welcome reception hosted by HAPO Community Credit Union.
At 4:00 p.m., guests will enjoy specialty foods and light beverages. During the program, guests will be welcomed by our host Lee Rafferty and emcees Lisa Schauer and Colleen Boccia. Our host will moderate between our featured speakers, who will share their leadership experiences within seven focus areas: upbringing, education, challenges and adversity, career pathways, mentorship, passions, and life-balance. We are delighted to host the University of Washington President, Ana Mari Cauce, PhD and Washington State University Associate Professor, Carolyn Long, PhD as our featured speakers. Our speakers, host, emcee, and sponsors exemplify the saying, "Where there's a WILL, there's a way."
Following the conversation, a social hour hosted by WellHaven Pet Health at 5:30pm provides an opportunity to connect with speakers and attendees.

Creating Lasting Connections:
The GVCC has a vision to build a collaborative network of women with the purpose of supporting female leaders in our community through the Women in Leadership Lecture Series. We hope that when you face a roadblock that challenges your leadership, you look to the WILL network for guidance. We will demonstrate the type of connections we hope you will continue creating on your own by setting a follow up lunch for pairs of women to enjoy together three weeks after the event. Each woman who invests in this program by giving generously of their time will receive a one-of-a-kind gold bracelet from Erik Runyan Jewelers, with a motif on it that signifies "where there's a will, there's a way."
