The Vancouver Rotary Tree Lighting will be held in Esther Short Park, 6th and Columbia Streets on Friday, November 23, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Live holiday music with childrens’ choirs and the COOLEY Show, food vendors, LOCI and carriage rides and the illumination of more than 11,000 lights on downtown Vancouver’s holiday tree by Santa will be featured. A special appearance will be made by well-known characters Anna and Elsa. The Presenting Sponsor is Waste Connections, Inc. The schedule includes: o 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. – Live holiday music, food vendors, Anna and Elsa Music will include children’s choirs Hough Glee Kids under the direction of Dr. Anson Service, the Combined Chinook Elementary and Fruit Valley Elementary School Choirs, under the direction of Loralie Ahola and the COOLEY Show o 6 p.m. – Santa illuminates the tree and more than 11,000 lights o 6:15 p.m. - Vancouver Community Concert Band at the Hilton Hotel (free with donations requested) Note: From 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., 6th Street from Columbia to Esther Streets will be closed.
