Please join the GVCC on Tuesdays and Thursdays in March for our eight-part workshop series, Take Aim with Google, presented by Comcast Business. Doors will open for each workshop at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served by Simply Thyme Catering. Each instructor will begin promptly at noon.
3/9: Intro to Google Web Search (SEO 101)
Presenter: Kevin Getch, Webfor
Description: You will walk away from this session with an understanding of how search engines work and the 7 key elements for an effective SEO strategy. You'll learn how search engines crawl and rank their results, as well as how your website and user experience as well as off-site factors impact how Google and other search engines see and rank your website. Kevin will break down these complex topics in simple to understand terms , explain where the future of SEO is headed and leave you with some actions you can take immediately to improve your SEO.
Bio: Webfor’s Founder and Director of Digital Strategy started his career in marketing over 14 years ago. Having worked for some of the largest fortune 500 companies, in 2009 he felt it was time to venture out on his own. He started Webfor in early 2009 with a business model focused on what he called the 3 R’s (Relationships, Results & ROI). Due in major part to this business philosophy of putting the client first, Webfor has seen enormous growth. When he’s not focusing on helping small businesses grow their brand he’s running obstacle course races, practicing Jiu Jitsu, hiking, traveling and spending time with his beautiful wife and two kids.
