Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income families and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a four-year degree. This series of events provide career awareness about STEM career pathways from actively involved employees in STEM or STEM-related fields. By participating you will be building social capital to first-generation college-bound students and communities under-represented within the STEM professional communities. Talk with students about your job, the skills needed to be successful and your own career path. Many students are unaware of the vast array of job opportunities. Connect with students over their lunch hour to help them make better decisions about their future.
