THE SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCE OPEN HOUSE EVENT
Tuesday, February 9th - FREE TO ATTEND
Please attend and help spread the word about the Chamber's Small Business Resource Open House Event on Tuesday, February 9th from 4:30 to 6pm. The Chamber encourages anyone wanting to start a business and existing businesses to attend. You will have an opportunity to meet a variety of free or low cost business support groups, ranging from nonprofits to government sponsored/funded entities - all with the mission to support local business.
There are a number of counseling, training and informational resources in Clark County and this is an opportunity to meet them face-to-face and get more information on: funding, marketing, trainings, accounting, human resources, expansion support, sales/prospecting, market research and more!
RESOURCE PARTNERS ATTENDING:
The Vancouver Community Library: Demographic and Market Analysis help for Start-ups and Small Businesses.
Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon (MESO): seeks to improve the economic opportunities of under-served individuals through empowerment, education, and entrepreneurship for the benefit of families in the greater community. An experienced and dedicated staff provides a minimum of three years of support, ranging from business planning, goal implementation, marketing, consulting, and financing. Learn about two of our programs attending this event: Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE) and MarketLink.
The GVCC's Small Business Assistance Program: One-on-one business counseling for entrepreneurs and existing small businesses in a variety of areas: marketing, cash flow, goal setting and long range planning.
SCORE - Vancouver: The business mentoring specialists. Sit down one-on-one or attend a class taught by fantastic retired professionals who are masters of their trade. Expertise in a wide range of areas important to start-ups and existing businesses.
Southwest Washington Business Development Center: The WSBDC Network provides no-cost, confidential, personalized, in-depth business advising and support to existing business owners and entrepreneurs according to their specific needs to help them make better informed business decisions to grow or sustain their business.
PTAC: Government Contracting. The Southwest Washington PTAC Counselors are available to businesses in three counties (Clark, Skamania and Cowlitz) for personalized assessment of their ability to contract in the local, state and federal marketplace.
WSU Vancouver's Business Growth MAP works with organizations (for profit and nonprofit) from all industries throughout Southwest Washington and the Portland metropolitan area, including organizations in underserved communities. We love complex challenges that provide WSU students a range of experiences.
The DIY Marketing Center provides small business marketing and sales support with classes, group and private business coaching, and community events.
The Southwest Washington Contractors Association strengthen businesses and foster a sense of community within the building and contracting industries. The SWCA offers a variety of face-to-face networking events, a centralized location to bid on construction projects, and cutting edge industry education programs.
