GLOBAL INSPECTION SOLUTIONS (GIS), founded in 2009 by three engineers, believed there had to be an easier way to get real parts into digital 3D. They established a process that offers exceptional 3D scanning, and they also have the ability to use 3D comparisons to quickly identify manufacturing defects that help determine not only what is wrong with a part, but why. Also presenting in June is HELIDYNE, founded in June 2008 to develop an innovative geothermal prime mover. The goal was to replace a turbine typically used in small (< 5 MW) modular units with an efficient, robust, and cost effective total-flow expander.
