Workshop #1
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS IN THE WORKPLACE
Instructor: Kyria McGill, CLM Business Solutions
Description: Our actions affect not only ourselves, but also those around us. Many of our professional decisions involve ethics. If we are dishonest, we can lose someone’s trust and undermine our own integrity. If we use shoddy materials or workmanship on the job, we can jeopardize the safety of others. Questions of morality and ethics can be found at all levels of society. Ethical behavior is equally important in the workplace as it is in our personal lives. Everywhere business is conducted, ethics matters.
Bio: Kyria McGill started CLM Solutions in 2011 by combining her love of entrepreneurship and human resources. With over 20 years in Human Resource experience, a career path that has included her own successful businesses, a variety of industries including retail, healthcare, hospitality, to Fortune 150 companies and startups a like, Kyria brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and dedication to seeing her clients thrive.
Kyria holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, a Master’s in Business Administration, a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification.

About the 2019 Fall Workshop Series "FOSTERING GROWTH IN THE WORKPLACE"
Most people recognize that employees are a company’s greatest asset. Their skills and motivation have a profound impact on our bottom line, yet according to a recent Gallup Poll only 30% of all U.S. workers are engaged in their positions. Even more alarming is the strikingly low percentage -- just 35% -- of U.S. managers themselves are engaged, while 51% are not engaged and 14% are actively disengaged.
What does this mean? This means there is an opportunity for every employee, supervisor, solopreneur, and leader to learn necessary skills that can foster growth and create engagement in the workplace.
If you are seeking ways to develop your employees/key leaders, grow revenues, improve your processes or increase your customer satisfaction and retention, you’ve come to the right place.
GVCC members have access to a series of workshops intended to provide skills and insight into the challenge’s businesses face today. Each workshop is designed to deliver information succinctly, with practical examples and an abundance of discussion.
