Description
Workshop Overview:
Belonging is a powerful force that deepens engagement, strengthens relationships, and builds more inclusive communities. Intentionally fostering belonging can transform everything from team meetings to donor experiences.
When people feel truly welcomed and valued, they are more likely to return, engage more deeply, and become long-term supporters of your mission. Whether you’re hosting a fundraising event, leading a volunteer orientation, or facilitating a staff meeting, creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable encourages participation, trust, and ongoing involvement. A sense of belonging makes people want to stay connected—not just to your organization but to the cause you serve.
Participants will use the concepts of belonging to shape their non-profit spaces into environments where people’s inherent value is honored. Participants will engage with and apply the definition, elements, and moments of belonging to help plan events that center belonging in meaningful ways.
Who Should Attend:
This session is open to all nonprofit professionals looking to cultivate a culture of belonging within their organizations. It will be particularly valuable for those involved in fundraising, event planning, volunteer management, and leadership who want to create experiences where donors, attendees, and team members feel seen, valued, and engaged.
