Workshop Overview:
Is Your Raffle Legal? Ensuring Event Compliance for Washington State Nonprofits
In the world of the Washington State Gambling Commission, there's a fine line when it comes to fundraising at events. From raffles, heads or tails, 50/50 or other fun and engaging opportunities for donor contributions, it's important that the nonprofit behind the event is protected.
Surprisingly, many organizations are unaware that their fundraising methods may not comply with the law. For instance, did you realize there's a cap on the amount you can raise through raffles each year? Or that a may need a specific gambling license? If these facts come as news to you, our workshop, led by an expert from the Gambling Commission, is an essential forum for learning how to navigate these regulations. It's designed as a space for open dialogue, offering insights into how nonprofits can continue to secure vital funds at events without jeopardizing their operations.
Why This Is Critical:
With many nonprofits unknowingly at risk of conducting non-compliant activities, this workshop serves as an essential intervention. Discover how to identify and avoid legal pitfalls, benefit from expert insights, and apply practical strategies for lawful fundraising.
Preparation Tips:
