Description
Presentation is loosely structured and highly interactive. The series focuses on the most critical challenges faced by all organizational leaders—beginning with their own formation, and building upon that framework to address both personal and organizational values, and relationships with board and staff.
Team Building: You and Your Board
What is the board’s duty—and how do you help board members differentiate between their role and yours? For many non-profit CEOs, “board development” is an ongoing challenge. How do you recruit and orient the kind of board members you need? How do you tend to their ongoing care and feeding? What can you do when things aren’t working out? In whatever challenges you encounter with your board, you’re not alone! Hopefully, you’ll come away from this session with a number of effective strategies for building a more engaged and effective board.
Presentation and discussion are 3:30 to 5:00, ending with an ‘happy hour’ for those in the group.
