Description
What’s Black and White and Coming May 15?
VANCOUVER, WA – April 7, 2015- The Clark County Veterans Assistance Center (CCVAC) will hold its Third Annual Black and White Gala on May 15, 2015 at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver. This year’s theme is titled, “An Elegant Affair.” The evening will include cocktails, live entertainment from Dave’s Killer Magic, and a live and silent auction by Fred Boyd Auction. The will menu offer a selection of beef, poultry, or vegetarian cuisine.
According to Gala Chairperson, Judy Russel. “This is our largest fund raising event. Like most non-profits, we operate from multiple funding streams. A portion of Clark County tax dollars are earmarked for the Veteran’s Assistance Fund (VAF). However the eligibility criteria is very specific. This fund raiser allows us to provide other services and sponsor events for local Veterans in transition or in need.”
Russel states, “The general public is invited to the Gala. It will be a very lovely evening. We anticipate roughly 200 people attending. I want people to know that even though the theme is ‘An Elegant Affair,’ cocktail attire is optional. The idea is for people to make this event as formal or as casual as they would like.”
Cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $60 per person, $110 per couple, or a special CCVAC President's Value pricing at $500 for a table, which seats 10 people. Purchase tickets and view auction packages at www.charityauctionorganizer.com/auction/event. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the Center at 360-693-7030 or by email at chairman@ccvac.net.
The auction packages include a variety of activities and goods such as sports or adventure outings, custom made items.
