This event is part of the Marquee Diversity Series, "Race, Immigration and Citizenship," commemorating the 50th anniversaries of the 1965 Voting Rights and Immigrations acts. Nationally acclaimed poet, actor and playwright Ariel Luckey will give a dynamic performance that provides critical historical context, compelling personal stories and current information about the immigration crisis in the United States. This accessible, entertaining and thought-provoking presentation asks what happens when public policy is based on historical amnesia?when we forget who we are and where we came from.
