As we woke up this morning in Clark County with a fresh rainfall, I'm thrilled to see that our region's landscape is able to receive some much-needed hydration. On the other side, I know a lot of us did stay up counting the distance between thunder and lightning so I'm sure it was a rude-awakening for many. Either way - Fall has arrived and our Pacific Northwest couldn't be more deserving of some fresh rain and cold weather.

Next week is a busy one at the Chamber! Here's what's happening:


Business & Leadership Awards Livestream - Tuesday, September 22
On Tuesday at 5 PM the Chamber's Annual Business & Leadership Awards will Livestream on Facebook and YouTube, presented by Port of Vancouver USA. If you haven't already, make sure to click "Interested" or "Going" on the Facebook Event to receive a notification when we go LIVE! If you aren't on Facebook, click here to bookmark the Chamber's YouTube Channel to watch. We'll be sending everyone a reminder on Tuesday at noon so make sure to check your inboxes on the day of the event. Attendance is complementary, courtesy of event sponsors.

The Chamber staff and membership base will be actively commenting and posting while the event is happening so feel free to tag others to join in and comment during the celebration.


Virtual Business After Hours Event - Thursday, September 24
Join us for the first Virtual Business After Hours event, online Thursday, September 24 at 4 PM. Reminder: Interstate Bridge Trunnion Replacement Project - Saturday, September 19
Heavy traffic, congestion and long delays are expected in the region on I-5, I-205, I-84, SR 14 and local streets in north Portland and south Vancouver during construction. Do your part to reduce congestion during the closure by using options such as delaying or shifting trips, biking, taking transit, or working from home or another location when possible. More information.


Grant Opportunity: Clark County Main Street Support Program - Deadline is Friday, September 18
Our partners at CREDC are accepting applications for the Clark County Main Street Support Program now through Friday, September 18! The program will provide grants of up to $10k each for businesses in Clark County impacted by COVID-19. Businesses with 10-20 employees can apply. Grant Opportunity: Small Business Relief Grant - Deadline is Friday, September 25
In partnership with Clark County and the City of Vancouver, Mercy Corps Northwest is launching a grant program to support small businesses with 5 or fewer employees who have been affected by the impacts of COVID-19.
