Description
THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, by C.S. Lewis, is the next production of Magenta Theater, located in Uptown Village, Vancouver, Washington.
Be prepared to be whisked out of war-torn England and transplanted into the magical world of Narnia. Join Peter, Susan, Lucy and Edmund as their lives become entangled with the White Witch, Aslan, Fenris Ulf and Mr. Tumnus!
Four sibling children, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are evacuated from their home and sent to live with a kind old professor during World War II. There they find a wardrobe in an empty room. The wardrobe leads to the land of Narnia.
Under the direction of Jaynie Roberts, this is Magenta Theaters tenth main-stage production.
Magentas production of the play does not try to mimic the recent Hollywood movie. Throughout the course of rehearsals, the original book was used as the sole reference tool. It is this companys desire to produce a play that would please C.S. Lewis.
