About Us
Founded in 2003 by Edward William (E.W.) Firstenburg and his wife Mary, The Firstenburg Foundation is a philanthropic organization with a strong desire to give back to the communities of Southwest Washington and embody the mission of doing well by doing good. Since inception, the Foundation has awarded in excess of $22 million dollars to grantees within the community.

Our grants focus on basic needs, health and human services, and education, where we see the greatest potential for unlocking and promoting transformational change.
