NW Furniture Bank restores hope dignity and stability by recycling donated furniture to people in need. You can make a difference in Clark County by donating your household items. Furniture in a home reduces the rate of return to homelessness by 50%. Imagine sleeping on the floor, or eating without a table. Thousands in our community are experiencing this ''furniture poverty'' and with your help we can stop it.

Hope Furnishings is a thrift furniture store that sells new mattresses, accessories, new and used furniture, mid-century and vintage. It is a program of the furniture bank and every $100 spent at Hope Furnishings helps support the furniture bank by providing funds to purchase hard to find items like mattresses and other furniture items.

The furniture assistance program is accessed exclusively on a referral basis thru local agencies. Families connect with an approved caseworker to complete a furniture request form, providing us with critical metrics such as family size, number of children, and the furniture needed. Families are then scheduled a shopping appointment to pick out their requested items from our inventory.

The much needed furniture comes to the furniture bank as donations from the public, businesses, schools and restaurants. Pick up is available for a small fee. Volunteers help us do the work of restoring hope, dignity and stability.

The furniture bank has been in operation for 12 years in Tacoma. The Vancouver branch is new in 2019 and is the vision of the Board to have furniture banks throughout the NW..
