Specialty Transportation Coordinator – Non Direct Service Job Description

The beginning hourly rate of pay for this position is $20.50-$24.12. Community in Motion provides an excellent benefits package. Benefits are based on full time equivalency and will receive Paid Time Off at 15 hours per month, fully paid medical and dental premiums, group life insurance, 401k contributions at 5% annual salary, flexible spending account and remote work arrangements. This position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 pm to 5:00 pm closed Holidays and occasional evening or weekend events.

We are looking for a diligent community organizer to join our passionate team. Candidates should be able to communicate in a professional manner, outreach coordinator, and be a helpful and positive team member.

To be successful as a Specialty Transportation Coordinator, the candidate should possess professional communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Specialty Transportation Coordinator’s should demonstrate passion in this position; respect those we serve, the agency team, and people we partner with; work with integrity; be dependable in all work areas; and show empathy and caring for the community.

Specialty Transportation Coordinator Responsibilities

·       Conduct presentations throughout the community on behalf of the programs; proactively seek out opportunities to educate and support the agency, and our community partners, in our transportation programs.

·       Effectively use systems to document and process bus passes, schedule trips and other program means to meet the eligible clients’ transportation needs.

·       Facilitate meetings with community partners to update them; clarify any questions and build relationships on at least a quarterly basis. Report outtakes to leadership.

·       Act as primary contact for Reserve-A-Ride, Employment Transportation, and assist with Bike to Work classes.

·       Work with dialysis centers and clients to ensure trips are accurately scheduled.

·       Work with partner agencies to screen for candidates for the Employment program including the Bike to Work Program. Coordinate with others in the agency to schedule and prepare for training sessions. Co-facilitate classes as needed.

Specialty Transportation Coordinator Requirements

  • Associate or higher college degree in transportation planning or applicable field of study
  • At least one-year of experience in human services transportation and/or program administration or
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
