Customer Service Representative Job Description

The beginning hourly rate of pay for this position is $16.37-$19.26. Community in Motion provides an excellent benefits package. Benefits are based on full time equivalency and will receive Paid Time Off at 15 hours per month, fully paid medical and dental premiums, group life insurance, 401k contributions at 5% annual salary, flexible spending account and remote work arrangements. This position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm closed Holidays.

We are looking for a diligent multi-tasker to join our passionate team. Candidates should be able to communicate via phone in a professional manner, follow scheduling guidelines, and be a helpful and positive team member.
 
To be successful as a Customer Service Representative, the candidate should possess professional communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Customer Service Representative’s should demonstrate passion in this position; respect those we serve, the agency team, and people we partner with; work with integrity; be dependable in all work areas; and show empathy and caring for the community.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities

{C}·        Respond to requests by telephone and fax from Medicaid clients and referring community agencies regarding transportation service needs and resources available in the community. 

{C}·        Determine eligibility and authorize transportation; follow applicable program policies, procedures and protocols.

{C}·        Screen applicants for most appropriate type of transportation services that meet their mobility status and personal capabilities; schedule transportation services with lowest-cost, most appropriate available transportation provider.

{C}·        Complete tasks within assigned specialty area (i.e. Dialysis, Fax Requests, Methadone).

{C}·        Address routine matters and refer questions which are beyond the scope, knowledge or authority of the position to the appropriate person; work directly with higher level program staff on more complex trip requests to include: vendor assignments, exceptions to policy, and client concerns.

 

Customer Service Representative Requirements

  • Some college level course work,
  • One year of relevant experience in a call center or social service environment or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities or
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
