It’s time we get back to BBQ parties in the backyard! But first we need to kick this COVID-19 in the rump roast. The news from the CDC and from Olympia this week was promising, but we still have important work to do. Reaching 70% with at least one dose by June 30 is aggressive, but locally along with a coalition of business organizations and companies, we are encouraging 80% fully vaccinated by August 15. The only way we kick COVID-19 is through the vaccine.  Look as we might, we haven’t seen any suggestions for a quicker way to get back some normalcy – or to a safe backyard BBQ.

Here’s how we get there: SafeBySummer.com is a website with resources to help educate yourself and your staff about the vaccine, where walk-up vaccines are available, and what to download to share this information with others. When you visit the website, make sure to check out the growing number of businesses taking the pledge to facilitate getting 80% of the Clark County workforce and families fully vaccinated by August 15.

Together and with a bit of intention we can Kick COVID-19 and get back to our BBQ parties. Uh oh, stack fire. Gotta go.

Sun-Lovin' & Shoppin’ Local

Grow The 360 has already created a surge of shop local gift certificates into our community. At this point over $90,000 is circulating in our community - not to mention, the promotion only began on May 3! This was made possible through a Buy One Get One program where buyers of the certificates were match one for one, with support by our partners at Visit Vancouver USA, ilani, and the Ed & Dollie Lynch Fund.

The most important part? These Gift Certificates can only be redeemed at Local Participating merchants and restaurants!

There is still time for you to get your purchase match, but funds are running out so don’t put a hold on this opportunity. Purchase yours now here! Now is the time to support our local businesses to begin their recovery. There are dozens of Participating Merchants across the county now accepting Grow The 360, view them all here.
